Course Objectives This course aims to prepare the students for all the processes before publication or delivery like proofreading and editing.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • explain the necessity of proofreading and reduction;
  • use the correct spelling in English and Turkish texts;
  • use an appropriate symbolic language in proofreading;
  • evaluate the quality of the language normatively through linguistic use;
  • develop solutions for substandard language use.
Course Description This course is designed for students to provide an insight into the publication of texts through their analyses by translation quality assessment, proofreading and copyediting.
