Course Objectives This course aims to address critical methods within the context of contemporary literary translation theories by using examples.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • explain the theories of translation criticism;
  • criticize translated texts by evaluating the models in translation criticism;
  • compare source texts and target texts;
  • identify the problems arising from the text type, cultural and stylistic differences;
  • use the terminology used in translation criticism appropriately.
Course Description This course is designed to learn contemporary critical theories in order to evaluate different types of translation texts and to use them in translation criticism.
