Assoc. Dr. Nihal Yetkin Karakoç gave a seminar at the Directorate of Communication Department of Translation

Combining her experience in the field of translation of diplomatic texts with her book “Translation and Diplomacy” , articles published in various international refereed journals, and a course she has been giving on Translation of Texts on Political Science in our department for years, Assoc. Prof. Nihal Yetkin Karakoç, was invited to deliver a webinar by the Directorate of Translation, Directorate of Communications to share her perspective and her practical and theoretical experience in the field of translation of diplomatic texts, and held a training seminar on the 1st of March between 14:00-16.00 in a Zoom meeting. The seminar was held in a closed session with approximately 40 translation and interpreting professionals working mainly on translation of texts on media and diplomacy at the Directorate of Translation. Speaking of the seminar, Assoc. Prof. Nihal Yetkin Karakoç said, “On the occasion of the seminar on diplomatic text translation, I am more than happy and proud to share my academic as well as practical knowledge, and exchange views with the professionals specialized in this field. I am looking forward to hold further events and carry out joint projects in collaboration with the Directorate of Communications.”
