DIRECTOR OF TRANSLATION COORDINATION OF MINISTRY OF EU AFFAIRS WAS IN IUE
The invited speaker as part of Applied Workshop offered by Department of English Translation and Interpreting at IUE was Dr. İlksen Hilal Tanrıkut, Director of Translation Coordination, Ministry of EU Affairs.
Tanrıkut gave a speech on job oppurtunities for Translation and Interpretation Alumnis, the duties of her directorate and the working process. The student took interest in the subject. Ceyhun Çiçek, Ministry of EU Affairs Directorate of Izmir Project Implementation and Özge Özmen with Burcu Durak, two translators working in the Translation Coordination shared their personal job experiences. Students gained awareness and knowledge about the importance of translation and the function of Ministry of EU Affairs.
