"Paratextual Analysis of Retranslations" Poster Exhibition by Our Senior Students as part of the ETI 470 Course

Fourth-year students from the English Translation and Interpreting Department, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Izmir University of Economics (IUE) held a poster exhibition titled "Paratextual Analysis of Retranslations" as part of the ETI 470 Translation History course. In the exhibition, students showcased their individual final projects, analyzing (re)translations of prominent works of English and American literature, such as "Pride & Prejudice", "Sons and Lover"s, and "Of Mice and Men" within a paratextual context.

The event attracted interest from students and faculty members across various departments, with significant attendance from university administration, including our Rector Yusuf Hakan Abacıoğlu. This interdisciplinary event provided a platform for students and faculty to share knowledge on a variety of topics.

Following the three-day event, which took place from May 6-8, the students' projects were evaluated by the faculty of the Translation and Interpreting Department. Certificates of achievement were awarded to the projects deemed most successful.
